John (JR) Racine

John Racine is an expert in immersive media, with a background spanning 3D IMAX documentaries, live VR broadcasts in music and sports, and immersive video development at Apple.
He began his career in 3D large-format filmmaking before joining NextVR Inc., where he helped pioneer live Virtual Reality experiences for top sports leagues and major music events on Meta’s Oculus Quest Device. Following the company’s acquisition, John joined Apple Inc., contributing to the development of Apple Immersive Video — now the gold standard for Stereoscopic 180° video on Vision Pro.
His work focuses on technology development, immersive camera movement, and advanced R&D in capture systems, blending creative storytelling with cutting-edge innovation.
John’s latest work in the Immersive space is with Apple TV+ as the Director of Photography for the Adventure Series “Deep Water Solo” Episode on Apple Vision Pro.
